Aglianico del Vulture is one of southern Italy's great red wines. On the volcanic soils of Monte Vulture — ash, basalt, tuff — the variety finds an exceptional terroir giving it unique minerality and depth. Planted between 300 and 700 metres, it produces a wine of noble austerity and considerable aging potential.
