Aragonez — the Portuguese name for Spain’s Tempranillo — is one of Portugal’s most versatile red grapes. Present mainly in Alentejo, Tejo and Dão, it produces wines of fine fruit ripeness, supple and accessible, with moderate aging potential. Alentejo gives its warmest and most generous expressions.
