Arneis Piémont Langhe vin blanc tranquille
- Origin
- Roero, Piedmont
- Growing regions
- California, Oregon, New Zealand, Australia
- Also known as
- Nebbiolo bianco
Arneis is Piedmont’s great northern white grape, long forgotten before being rescued by Bruno Giacosa and Vietti in the 1970s. In the Langhe, on clay-limestone soils less favoured than the Roero, it produces dry whites of freshness and delicacy typical of Piedmont, lighter than its Roero DOCG cousin.
