Cabernet franc finds one of its purest expressions in Anjou-Saumur — Saumur-Champigny, Anjou Villages Brissac, Anjou rouge. On the tuffeau and schist of the Loire valley slopes, it produces reds of remarkable elegance and depth, among the most seductive in the Loire vineyard. The colour is luminous ruby garnet.
