Heathcote — a wine region 100 km north of Melbourne — is known for its thick red Cambrian soils, among the world’s oldest, which give Cabernet Sauvignon exceptional concentration and minerality. These Cambrian clays drain well and warm readily. The colour is deep, dense purple garnet.
