Carménère Bordeaux Rive gauche vin rouge tranquille

Even rarer on the Left Bank, Carménère survives in a few old plots in the Médoc and Graves. Its late-ripening character makes it difficult to ripen at these latitudes, and it is almost always blended with Cabernet Sauvignon or Merlot for its aromatic complexity. The colour is intense purple garnet.
