Valle de Uco — the high-altitude Mendoza sub-district, between 900 and 1,500 metres at the foot of the Andes — is one of Argentina’s great Chardonnay regions. The clay-limestone soils and altitude allow slow ripening, preserving fine acidity in wines of remarkable concentration and complexity.
