Clairette lends its name to two specific AOCs in the South of France: Clairette du Languedoc (Hérault) and Clairette de Bellegarde (Gard). These appellations produce dry, off-dry or sweet still whites from pure Clairette, as well as sparkling wines. Clairette sparkling is rare but has genuine floral charm.
