Ancient indigenous grape from Bresciano, province of Brescia in Lombardy, mentioned as early as the sixteenth century, historically present on the western shore of Lake Garda.

Albamatto, Erbamatto, Verdealbara

Erbamat — a late-ripening Lombard white variety discovered in the Brescia region — was incorporated into the Franciacorta DOCG specifications in 2017 as a possible addition of up to 10% in blends.
