Aragon is the historic birthplace of Garnacha Tinta (Grenache), the king variety of Aragonese reds in the Campo de Borja, Calatayud and Caîrinena appellations. On the poor, stony soils of these arid zones under the cold Cierzo winds, Garnacha yields wines of great concentration and affirmed Mediterranean typicity.
