In Catalonia, Garnacha Tinta is the dominant variety of Priorat DOCa, one of Spain’s most prestigious appellations. On the Priorat’s llicorella (black slate) soils, old vines of 80 to 100 years old yield wines of exceptional concentration, minerality and complexity. The colour is very dark, dense purple garnet.
