Grechetto — a native white variety of Umbria — is the identity variety of Umbrian whites, particularly in the Orvieto DOC and Colli Martani. It produces dry whites of Italian elegance, aromatic and mineral, with a characteristic slight bitterness in the finish. The colour is pale, clear gold.
