- Origin
- Hungary (mainly Tokaj)
- Also known as
- Lindenblättriger, Frunza de Tei
Hárslevelű — an autochthonous Hungarian white variety whose name means ‘linden leaf’ in Hungarian, grown primarily in the Tokaj region on volcanic andesite and rhyolite soils — is Tokaj’s second variety after Furmint. It contributes to the assemblage of Tokaji Aszú and is vinified alone as dry or sweet white.
