Mencia Galice Ribeira sacra vin rouge tranquille

Origin
Northwest of Spain

Mencía from Galicia — a red variety grown in the Ribeiro and Valdeorras appellations, two Galician DOs with continental-Atlantic microclimates, on schist, granite and slate soils — produces wines intermediate between the Atlantic lightness of Bierzo and the mineral depth of Ribeira Sacra.
