Pinot Noir from Chapelle-Chambertin — the smallest of the nine Grand Crus of Gevrey-Chambertin at 5.4 ha, on the more superficial Bajocian clay-limestone, on the parcel where a chapel of the Bèze convent once stood — produces a light, elegant and fine Grand Cru, more accessible than Chambertin or Clos de Bèze.
