Pinot Noir from Griottes-Chambertin — the smallest of the Gevrey Grand Crus at only 2.7 ha, located on the Bajocian clay-limestone at the foot of the Gevrey hillside, its name evoking the griottes (wild cherries) that once grew here — produces a Grand Cru of rare delicacy and finesse, the most elegant after Chapelle.
