Pinot Noir from Mazis-Chambertin — a Grand Cru of the commune of Gevrey-Chambertin at 9.1 ha, situated immediately north of Chambertin on the Bathonian and Bajocian clay-limestone, with thicker soils than Chambertin — produces a powerful and structured Grand Cru, the second most powerful after Chambertin.
