Pinot Noir from Monthélie — grown in the commune of Monthélie, nestled between Meursault, Auxey-Duresses and Volnay, on the Bathonian clay-limestone, with east-facing Premier Crus — produces firm, fruity and characterful Pinot Noirs, close to the style of Volnay but more rustic.
