Poulsard from the Jura in red — the most widely planted indigenous variety of the Jura alongside Savagnin, on the blue Liassic clays and Triassic marls with sometimes heavy clayey soils, also called Ploussard in the Ain — produces light red wines, almost rosé, of exceptional beauty and transparency.
