Sauvignon blanc from Elgin — grown in the cool region of Elgin (southern Cape), on the granite and loam soils at 450 metres altitude with a cold and humid climate tempered by the Indian Ocean — produces some of South Africa’s most elegant Sauvignons, with fine freshness and a typicity close to Marlborough.
