Sémillon moelleux from Bergerac — grown in the sweet wine appellations of the Bergerac area (Monbazillac, Saussignac, Rosette), on the clay-limestone and terraces with the Dordogne mists that favour botrytis — produces accessible and fruity sweet wines, less concentrated than Sauternes but of excellent value.
