Syrah from Tuscany-Bolgheri — grown in the Bolgheri (Tuscan Maremma), famous for its Supertuscans, on the clay-silt and sandy soils with a hot Mediterranean climate — produces concentrated and elegant Syrahs, often blended with Cabernet Sauvignon and Merlot. Ornellaia and Le Macchiole (Scrio) make celebrated versions.
