Resulting from the natural crossbreeding of a white vine from the Ribera del Douero and a red vine from Aragon: the albillo mayor & the benedicto.

Tempranillo from La Rioja — grown in Rioja (DOCa), Spain’s most celebrated appellation, on the clay-limestone soils of Rioja Alta, the silts of Rioja Oriental and the pebbles of Rioja Alavesa, with a Mediterranean climate tempered by Atlantic influence — produces the great classic Spanish reds.
