Torrontés from Mendoza — grown in the province of Mendoza (Argentina), on the alluvial and sandy-clay soils at the foot of the Cordillera of the Andes with a sunny semi-desert climate — produces very perfumed and floral whites. Argentine Torrontés is a cross between Muscat of Alexandria and Listan prieto.
