Touriga Nacional from Alentejo — grown in the large Alentejo region (Portugal, hot interior), on the schist, gneiss and clay soils with a hot and dry Mediterranean climate — produces concentrated and fruity reds, often blended with Alicante Bouschet and Aragonez (Portuguese Tempranillo).
