Ugni blanc in Provence-Var — grown in the Var and Côtes de Provence, on the clay-limestone and sandy soils with a Mediterranean climate — produces light and fresh whites, often blended with Clairette, Rolle and Sémillon. It enters the Provence white blends where its natural acidity is an asset.
