The Baga is an iconic Portuguese red grape variety from Bairrada, known for its tannic, acidic and structured wines, with a strong ageing potential. It produces wines with a dark colour, with aromas of black cherry, tart red fruits, tobacco, spices and undergrowth, sometimes with a smoky or iodised touch.
