Madeleine Royale

Origin
Created in France around 1845 in Fontenay-sous-Bois by the selector Pierre Moreau (aka Courtiller).
Growing regions
Switzerland, Germany, United Kingdom and marginally in the east of France.
Also known as
White Madeleine Royale, Madeleine de Courtiller, Madeleine de Fontenay, Madeleine Royal.

The Madeleine Royale produces a simple, light wine, with low acidity and discreet aromas of fresh grape, white flower and light muscat. Its exceptional early maturity (harvests possible from July in warm regions) makes it an ideal table grape for temperate climates.
