Petit Meslier sparkling

Origin

North-east of France, Champagne. A natural crossbreed between Gouais blanc × Savagnin.

Meslier, Meslier green, Gros Meslier, Meslier d’Orléans, Petit Meslier blanc.

Bright and tonic white grape variety, Petit Meslier gives wines of a marked acidity and great freshness, bouquet of white flowers and citrus fruits. It retains its acidity well even in warm years, providing Riesling-like tension. As a varietal, it produces straight and linear wines, with lemony and chalky notes.
