The Macabeu (or Viura), the main grape of Spanish Cavas, produces dry, fresh, and delicate sparkling white wines, often blended with Xarel·lo and Parellada. Aromas: white flowers, apple, pear, sweet citrus, sometimes brioche or almond after aging on lees.
